Did You Know The iPad Mini Has A Samsung Display?

Despite the bitter rivalry

They may be bitter enemies right now, but Apple and Samsung still have a very important business relationship and there is no sign - at least not yet - that it is going anywhere anytime soon.

The newly unveiled iPad Mini, which is set to go on sale tomorrow, has an LCD display that is made from Samsung. This was revealed during a teardown of the new device from enthusiast site iFixit.com.

Samsung and Apple, of course, have been in the middle of unending legal battles. Most of them appear to be going for the side of Apple. Samsung has won major victories, though for the most part the company has just been victorious in defending itself.

In other words, the lawsuits that it has actively filed against Apple have not really gone anywhere. At least not yet.

Nevertheless, Apple's use of Samsung technology in its mobile devices is a significant stream of revenue for Samsung, and it seems like the legal rivalry that exists between the two has not damaged that relationship.

Likewise, Samsung is the leader in LCD technology and Apple would lose a very fundamental part of the iPad if it decided to choose another partner.

You kind of get the impression that Samsung has a lot more to be bitter about than Apple, because Apple is like the high school bully while Samsung is the nerdy kid that just wants to fit in.

Don't expect this legal drama to go anywhere anytime soon.
