Support for Apple’s CarPlay has been given by the legendary car maker Porsche in their 718 Cayman series that is now available for sale and shall be shipped to dealers by the end of November this year.
There has been no announcement for the Android Auto compatibility which has been almost available in all of its 2017 models that have been updated with CarPlay. The latest one is equipped with the Coonect Plus updated module which has Google Earth and Google Street View too.
It is important to know that the normal Cayman 718 starts at $53,900 before the options and fee became applicable and the S model is for $66,300 and has a 2.5 liter, 350 horsepower engine with enormously fast speeds.
The Porsche has previous supports in the 718 Boxster, the 911 model and the Macans which came in 2017. CarPlay was launched n 2014 when only luxury vehicles could afford this technology in the Ferrari FF. However after that Apple and automakers have brought them to the affordable class through Honda, Kia, Chevrolet and such companies.
