A round up of Apple’s horizon

Apple has a lot in the works for the coming year, although not everything is set in stone quite yet. Here is a round up of the week’s updates and rumors from the Apple front.

-MacBook Pro Gets An Update

At the start of the week Apple updated the range of MacBook Pros with an increase in processor speed and memory, in addition to reducing the price of non-retina models by $100. This might not be the major update many have been hoping for, but it is a worthwhile upgrade until they are ready to bring in a massive overhaul.

-Is Sapphire Still The Plan?

The iPhone 6 is still under speculation, but the sapphire glass screen has been met with a lot of conflicting data as of late. It doesn't appear that Apple has ordered enough screens to use them in all of the iPhones they are preparing for launch, but it is possible that they have more coming in order to use them with both models of the upcoming phone upgrade.

-Did Apple Slow Down Old Phones?

There is a lot of speculation circling the older models of the iPhone and whether or not Apple has intentionally made them slower in order to convince customers to buy new models. According to the actual data, however, this is merely people debating newer models as they are released, perceiving their phones to be slower when they imagine the updated processing speed of the new phone.

These are just this week’s hottest topics and there will certainly be more in the coming week.
