The consumers are enabled to buy iPhone 5S and 5C at a discounted price, as Walmart, one of the major retailers in the US, declares to reduce the costs of the devices permanently.

According to Apple Insider, a spokesperson from Walmart informs that the retailer will sell iPhone 5S for $99 with a two year contract, while slashing the iPhone 5C price to $29. At present, the devices cost $149 and $49 respectively.

In the previous, Walmart provided similar offers for the smartphones on different occasions, including the 2013 holiday sale. However, this time, the discount will take place permanently.

Walmart’s decision to reduce the price of the current iPhone models is logical, as Apple is rumored to release new smartphones later this year.
