The Worldwide Developer Conference from Apple starts tomorrow and among the things that they are set to announce is the iOS 8 app known as Healthbook. This is going to be an important part of the iWatch and something that changes the way we view health tracking in the tech world, but that doesn’t mean that other companies aren’t working on something similar, including Apple’s arch nemesis Samsung.

With knowledge that Apple is going to be releasing Healthbook this year, Samsung rushed to have their own health related event last week. They released a video describing the features, but the problem is that a man by the same of Ram Fish is presenting in it. Ram Fish was reportedly working with Apple’s biosensor team, making him someone that has an in depth knowledge of the kinds of things that Apple is working on.

What kind of information did Samsung get from him? That remains to be seen, although there could potentially be more court cases coming if Apple feels slighted. They have still not received any settlement from Samsung, so they are sure to be on the prowl for more.

For most people, though, the Samsung event was lackluster and only made them more interested in what Apple will have to say about health tracking this week. With the conference starting tomorrow, the wait is almost over and we will finally have a look at the kinds of things we’ll be tracking later on in the year.
