Apple might be planning to include a new feature in its upcoming tablets, as a new report suggests that the new models of iPad will be equipped with the Touch ID fingerprint sensor.

The report has been published by Breathe Cast, stating that the specific sensor is very likely to be applied in the home button of the next version of Apple’s tablets. At present, the particular component is applied in only iPhone 5S.

The prediction is logical, as the Touch ID fingerprint sensor plays an important role in attracting a large number of smartphone consumers. So, it will be not a surprising matter to get the upcoming version of iPad with the specific component.

The report also claims that the two new models, replacing iPad Air and iPad Mini 2, are under construction. Both of them are very likely to be equipped with upgraded chips.

The new versions of iPad Air and iPad Mini 2 might get introduced at the upcoming WWDC 2014.
