Apple is looking to increase the sales of the iPhone 5S and 5C, as it introduces the smartphone upgrade event for the users having older models of its handsets.

The event has enabled the consumers to trade-in their older smartphones in the Apple Store, consequently paving a way of purchasing the latest models of the iPhone.  According to Apple Insider, the Cupertino company is offering $99 for the iPhone 4 users for the purchase of iPhone 5S or 5C. On the other hand, the iPhone 4S consumers are being provided with $199.

The event has created a way for consumers to purchase iPhone 5C or 5S free of cost. For instance, the trade-in value of iPhone 4, which is $99, is worth of the price of an iPhone 5C with a two-year contract. On the other hand, with the $199 trade-in value of the iPhone 4S, the users can buy the iPhone 5S.

The iPhone upgrade event is not only a great chance for old iPhone users to get upgraded smartphones free of cost, but also a huge opportunity for Apple to boost the number of sales significantly.
