Apple is once again rumored to release two models of iPhone 6 later this year, as a new report claims that the 4.7-inch model will be introduced in August, while the bigger 5.5 or 5.6-inch version will be revealed in September.
According to Mac Rumors, the report has been published by Taiwan’s Economic Daily News, stating that Apple is going to manufacture 80 million units of iPhone 6 in 2014. It also states that the assembly of the specific device will be done by Foxconn, while the task of producing camera module will be handled by Largan Precision.
Apple has a tendency of releasing new models of the iPhone in September or October every year. However, the rumor of the August release is strongly indicating a different strategy for marketing the iPhone 6. The report also conflicts with previous claims stating that the 4.7-inch model would be revealed in September, while the 5.5-inch version might not get released in 2014.
Nonetheless, the claim of the Economic Daily News is very significant, as it has a great record of making the true prediction about the release date of the future Apple products.
