iPad Air Surpassed iPad Mini with Respect to Popularity in December 2013 iPad Air grabbed the major portion of Apple's US tablet market share in December 2013

iPad Air had taken 41 percent share of total iPad sales to outpace iPad Mini in the last month

A new report, published on Monday, revealed that the iPad Air had been able to attract more customers than its counterpart, the iPad Mini, significantly in the US market last month.

According to Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP), the iPad Air grabbed 41 percent share of overall iPad sales, which is a slight decrease from December 2012 when iPad with Retina display occupied 43 percent share.

Nonetheless, the iPad Air has managed to surpass the share of iPad Mini. According to CNET, the iPad Mini has taken 25 percent share, while the same device with Retina display managed to grab 16 percent of share. Nonetheless, the total share of the both the devices is same as the iPad Air.

On the other hand, iPad 2 had been able to take only 5 percent share, which is 22 percent down from December 2012.

However, iPad Air has proven that it is truly the flagship Apple tablet, which is not going to leave its position anytime soon.
