As soon as the New Year has arrived, speculation about the release of the next model of iPad Pro has started to surface throughout the web. And to further strengthen the rumor of revealing a new iPad in this year, an analyst stating that the much anticipated device is going to arrive in this Fall.
Patrick Wang, the Evercore Partners analyst, says that the new iPad Pro is coming with a 12” display, along with the A8 processor. He also says that the tech giant is going to compete with 2-in-1 laptop-tablet combination scheme used by Microsoft and Intel. According to Barron‘s, he states, “Expect a 2-1 hybrid – think iPad + MBA – similar to how most iPads are used in the workplace and in the same spirit of MSFT’s Surface.”
Wang also predicts that it will have a great impact on Intel’s laptop market if Apple is really able to implant the strategy. He says, “This would hit Intel in an area of strength – enterprise [laptops].”
Wang’s prediction might be true as Apple has been relentlessly attempting to grab the global laptop market, which has been mainly grabbed by Intel. Nonetheless, time will say if the Cupertino is going to follow Wang’s speculation.
