Old iPad owners are offered a trade-in deal from Radio Shack for a gift certificate or credit towards new iPad Air

If you have an old iPad and would like to swap it for the new iPad Air, check the deal Radio Shack is offering: you can opt for a gift certificate or direct cash towards buying your new tablet.

It is common that the release of a new model incites iPad owners to try to get rid of their old model and get their hands on the new one. With this Radio Shack trade-in deal, they can actually save quite a lot of money. Depending on the model, old iPad owners can get up to $225 for their old tablet. The most goes for the iPad Retina -$225. They can expect to get $125 for their iPad 2 and $175 for the iPad 3. Original iPad Mini will get them $150.

The Radio Shack trade-in is offered in most of its retail shops, but not through its website. Once you are in the store, you can also decide to trade your old iPad for a gift certificate instead of the money for the new tablet. You do not have to use the gift certificate right away – the holidays are coming with many other new products.

If you think that what Radio Shack is offering is not enough, you will have to do your homework and shop around a bit. Other retailers will be coming with their own deals, and there is always eBay and Craigslist.
