As reported by The Indy Channel, a launch date for the next Apple iPad tops off details that have been piling up for the past couple of weeks. Now a date has been set for Apple’s next event, and it’s on October 22. Analysts of Apple report that it is the announcement of the next iPad versions that is going to take place on that date.
All Things D, a technology website, has been consistently accurate about reporting the dates of upcoming Apple events. It was this site that rightly announced the September launch of the new iPhone models and they have now stated that this event coming October 22 is going to be the introduction of the next generation of iPads.
As expected, Apple declined to comment when ABC News reached out to the company about this next event. Nevertheless, many note the fact that it was on October 23 of last year that Apple’s event in San Jose took place and the fourth-generation iPad and iPad Mini were announced.
Experts are expecting the new iPads to feature a design that’s similar to the iPad Mini, including a thinner screen frame and shell. Also expected is a version of the iPad Mini that features high-resolution Retina display. Some also expect the new iPads to feature Apple’s Touch ID.
Apple’s iOS 7 will be featured on the new iPad versions.
Also at the event, Apple is expected to discuss future Mac products, including the Mac Pro, which was first displayed at Apple’s June Worldwide Developer’s Conference and is set to be manufactured in the U.S.
