On Thursday, Apple made a major announcement by emailing to the developers, stating that Mac apps will be added to its Volume purchase program very soon, enabling business and educational organizations to purchase several copies of a particular app with a great discount.

The inclusion of Mac Apps allows developers to provide a discount on multiple app purchases, helping them to set up specific marketing strategy for different business and educational institutions of different areas.

Apple Insider states that a purchase of 20 or more copies will be awarded with a discount of 50 percent.

Apple’s new plan is expected to be quite effective for corporate areas-a huge market which has been ruled by Microsoft for years.
