Apple has made some quite changes to its coverage provisions under its AppleCare+ protection plan. That protection plan is available for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod devices. The extended coverage means that users can now get service in any country where it is available.
Previously support was limited to the country the person purchased the device in. What that meant was users who had a problem while traveling to a foreign country were unable to get service.
The changes put in place by Apple allow owners of Apple devices to get service in whatever country they happen to be in. The ability to get service does depend on whether the AppleCare+ policy is available in that country.
