Finally iOS 7 has arrived and it is new-feature-packed. This new OS is completely different than more users are accustomed to. The download is available for free to users of the iPad 2, iPad Mini, third and fourth generation iPad, and the iPhone 4 and higher. What are some of the most notable features of iOS 7? Read on to find out.

Control Center

Now bringing up the control center takes a simple swipe of the touchscreen, making it easy to go into Airplane mode at a moment’s notice, adjust screen brightness, or use the iPhone as a flashlight by turning on flash.

Automatic App Updates

No longer to users have to worry about updating their apps, ever. iOS 7 features software that gets the job done automatically. This is a feature that Sen. John McCain specifically requested.

AirDrop

Users that are close in proximity can now send pics, video, and the like super quick with AirDrop. This is one feature that might prove to be extremely popular. Samsung’s Galaxy smartphones already have a similar feature, and this is Apple’s response. No need to worry about being spied on by the NSA, as transfers are encrypted.

Photo Filters

Forget relying on Instagram for photo filters, thanks to iOS 7. Users get to choose from nine different filters which can be applied either before or after taking the picture.

Dynamic Wallpapers

Animated wallpapers can prove to be loads of fun. This is a new feature iOS 7 users get to enjoy. Tilting the phone helps the animations to move.

Unified Safari Search Field

Instead of the separate search and address fields of the old days, there is now a Unified Smart Search Field, in which users can type either web addresses or search terms, making usage simpler.

iTunes Radio

Apple is poise to take the world of streaming music by storm. Sorry Pandora.
