Apple Warns Support Staff of iPhone Activation Problems

This is the Surface Studio

Apple has reportedly issued what it calls an internal high priority alert warning service staff that iPhone activation servers are having problems. The warning reportedly indicates that activation server problems and other issues are keeping new iPhone owners from activating their devices. I can only imagine a huge number of calls are coming into Apple support right now.

Oddly, while activation server issues were reported Apple’s system status showed everything was green at the time. AppleInsider reports that a reliable source told the Apple sent out an internal P-1 alert warning of the server issues.

The server issues were apparently affecting brand-new devices and phones they had been restored recently. This is bad news indeed for Apple on the launch weekend of the new iPhone 5S and 5C. There are certainly be a lot of very unhappy people if they can’t activate their new phones.
