Poor consumer reception could've delayed iWatch launch

It Could Be a While before the Apple iWatch Launches
The Guardian

There were certainly a lot of disappointed people when Apple didn't offer that one more thing in the form of the long rumored iWatch earlier this week. Some believe it could be a long while before Apple launches a smart watch despite months of rumors indicating the watch was in the development process.

Samsung recently launched its own smart watch called the Galaxy Gear design to interface with some of its smart devices such as the Galaxy Note 3 and Note 10.1. Other manufacturers have launched their own smart watches and the devices have yet to really catch on with consumers. At least some believe that the lukewarm reception smart watches have received might mean Apple is holding off.

Apple certainly wouldn't want to launch a device that would be seen as bulky and unattractive. A well-designed and highly functional device launched later could prove to be very successful. Apple has still offered no official confirmation that it is even working on a smart watch.
