Fall is soon to be upon us, and, with only a few weeks left of the glorious summertime, Apple customers and lovers look to the Fall season and dream of Apple product announcements. At this point, we here at Apple Balla can hardly wait to see what Apple unveils this Fall.

Even though the iPhone 5S may not differ from the iPhone 5 in terms of size and display, we still think the announcement will be one of the hottest of 2013 and is sure to have both iOS and Android lovers parked in front of their TV screens with anticipation.

This week, Jefferies analyst Peter Misek has once again chimed in on Apple’s journey to Fall and reported that iPhone 5S production has started and the company is in high gear. This fits well with the claim that Foxconn has increased its worker hires to prepare for the usual late summer/early Fall rush to produce the needed number of iPhone 5S copies.

Misek is the same tech analyst responsible for his claim last November (around Thanksgiving) that Apple would emerge with a budget iPhone in 2013. Recent photos we’ve seen legitimize Misek’s predictions (although he has not always been right).

As for his new claim, he also predicts that the iPhone 5S will be announced sometime between September and early October, right before Apple’s iPad Mini 2 announcement, and will sell some 50-55 million units between October 2013 and January 2014 (Christmas sales dominant).

The iPhone 5S has been rumored to feature the same size display as the iPhone 5 (4-inch), aluminum metal back, 12 or 13MP Sony Exmor Camera Sensor, a fingerprint-scanning home button (that looks identical to the Apple logo), as well as an increased screen resolution (if Retina rumors are correct), slow-motion video recording, 1080p video, and some internal changes to accommodate the new fingerprint sensor home button. Of course, the iPhone 5S will feature iOS 7 with all-new features such as AirDrop file share, camera filters, a hover-like feature reminiscent of Samsung’s Galaxy S4, and a completely contemporary redesign of iOS that eliminates the Steve Jobs/ Scott Forstall design that seemed real-to-life. iPhone 4 and 4S users will not be granted access to AirDrop file share on their current-generation smartphones, so the iPhone 5S may provide some appeal to current users.
